The seminary is owned and run by the Zimbabwe Catholic Bishop’s Conference. The community have over 100 seminarians, 12 priests (formators), 4 religious sisters, and 15 ancillary staff members These seminarians are from the eight dioceses of Zimbabwe namely: Bulawayo, Chinhoyi, Gokwe, Gweru, Harare, Hwange, Masvingo and Mutare.

A 3-year Philosophy program (Pre-Theology)
A 4-year Theology program
Integrated spiritual direction, liturgical training, and pastoral fieldwork
At the heart of Chishawasha Major Seminary is a dedicated formation and academic team composed of 12 priest-formators and 4 religious sisters. Together, they guide seminarians not only in theological knowledge but in deep spiritual, pastoral, and human formation essential for the sacred priesthood.
